What difference will you make?
Founded 35 years ago in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, Careers Springboard is a registered charity staffed entirely by volunteers, providing guidance to unemployed professionals, managers, and graduates. We operate online via Zoom, offering weekly meetings on job search skills and free one-to-one services such as CV prep, interview practice, coaching, and counseling. The Trustee IT Administrator will work with Trustees, the Executive Committee, and volunteers on all IT aspects, including day-to-day operations, meetings, and medium- to long-term planning. The role requires a commitment to weekly Monday evening meetings, four Trustee meetings annually, an AGM, and 3-4 hours of weekly IT administration. Meetings are virtual, but proximity within 20 miles of South Bucks is advantageous.
What are we looking for?
- Experience with Zoom administration: scheduling, setting up templates, registration and waiting room management, creating polls/surveys, and optimizing settings.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace: managing users, security, email, and spam settings, and maintaining the platform for all users.
- Ability to produce IT reports on performance, updates, and proposals.
- Qualities: patience, diligence, empathy, calmness, helpfulness, clarity, leadership, responsiveness, and sensitivity.
- Experience leading a small IT team (2-3 volunteers), preferably in voluntary, HR, training, or job-seeking sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing Zoom calls for meetings and AGM, setting up templates, registration, and settings.
- Creating polls and surveys.
- Reporting on IT performance and updates.
- Managing Google Workspace users, security, and email settings.
- Overseeing the smooth operation of our virtual services, including coaching sessions.
Our current Trustee IT Administrator offers detailed training and guidance. Attendance at meetings and participation in committees are expected. Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
