Careers Springboard is a registered charity that supports job seekers in getting back into employment.
We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to co‑ordinate the work of our coaches who provide one‑to‑one support to our members.
What you will be doing
- Serve as the first point of contact for job seekers requesting coaching.
- Screen applications, match seekers with appropriate coaches, and forward requests to the coaching team.
- Schedule coaching sessions (typically up to one hour) in close liaison with the coaches.
- Maintain accurate records of applications, session dates and coach assignments.
- Attend the weekly online Zoom meeting (Monday evenings) to review coaching topics and receive updates.
- Communicate with members via email, phone or Zoom as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and courteous email, phone, or Zoom support to job seekers.
- Coordinate coaching appointments and ensure all parties have the necessary information.
- Track and report on application volumes and coaching outcomes.
- Assist with promotion of the 1‑to‑1 services across the community.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a coordinator or administrative role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to keep accurate records and manage multiple contacts simultaneously.
- Polite, calm, motivated, and committed to helping others.
- Comfortable using email, calendar tools and video‑conferencing platforms.
Commitment
Approximately 2–3 hours per week, online from anywhere in the UK.
