An established and well regarded organisation within the education sector is looking to appoint an IT Technician to provide high quality IT support across a secondary school environment and wider foundation.
This is a varied, hands on role supporting staff and students, working closely with senior leadership and the wider IT team to ensure technology is reliable, secure, and supports teaching and learning effectively. The role is site based in Gateshead and forms part of a central IT and Digital Services team, reporting directly to the Network Manager.
The Role
- Providing first and second line IT support to staff and students
- Supporting classroom and administrative technology
- Working closely with senior leadership, teaching staff, and IT colleagues
- Maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software, and user accounts
- Supporting IT service delivery across multiple school sites where required
- Assisting with training and support of IT staff to maintain high service standards
- Acting as a positive role model within a school environment
