Based just North of Manchester and with exciting new product lines in the pipeline, the company is now seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development, learn from experienced engineers, and be part of a company that values innovation, quality, and long-term thinking. About the Role: Reporting to the Product Design & Development Engineer, you’ll be involved in every stage of new product development, including: * Market research and competitor benchmarking * Liaising with suppliers to source new components * Supporting prototype manufacture and assembly * Testing and refining prototypes for production * Providing input and support throughout the product lifecycle Initially, you’ll assist with ongoing projects, but as your experience grows, so too will your opportunities – including the chance to take the lead on new product design from concept to completion. Skills and Experience sought from the Product Designer: * 1-3 years’ experience (including work placements) * Background in product design within a manufacturing environment * Hands-on experience with metal fabrication and prototyping is a bonus * Proficient in CAD – SolidWorks preferred In return: The salary on offer is within the range of £28k to £35k plus company pension
