This bespoke furniture and architectural joinery company designs, manufactures and installs high-end made-to-measure furniture and joinery for luxury residential interiors, commercial projects and one-off commissions. The Technical Designer will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed working drawings for bespoke furniture and joinery projects. The role involves interpreting architects' and interior designers’ concepts and developing them into clear technical drawings suitable for manufacture and installation.
This is a key technical role requiring strong CAD skills, attention to detail, a good understanding of joinery construction and the ability to manage multiple projects at different stages.
Skills and Experience expected from the Technical Designer:- 4+ years’ experience in high-end bespoke joinery / furniture design
- Proven experience producing detailed CAD drawings for manufacture
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Good understanding of bespoke joinery, cabinetry, furniture construction and materials
- Ability to interpret architects’ drawings, interior design concepts and site information
- Practical, solution-orientated, organised and able to manage competing priorities
