Our client is an independent lighting design consultancy delivering exceptional local and international projects. They boast a diverse project portfolio designed in collaboration with some of the world’s most creative designers.
They are currently looking to recruit a Lighting Designer to work on a variety of high-end projects across a full range of market sectors that include workplaces, hospitality, galleries, transport and residential.
The location is flexible to suit the successful candidate and can be office (near Watford), remote (still UK based though) or a hybrid arrangement. Attendance on site and at meetings (both online and in-person) is envisaged as part of this role.
The typical work diet will include but not be limited to:
- Creative presentations
- Artificial and daylight lighting modelling
- 3D and 2D modelling including Revit / BIM
- Specification creation and report writing
- Technical appraisals
- Client / Stakeholders liaison and project management
Skills and Experience sought from the Lighting Designer:
- Knowledge of work programming and scheduling
- Experience on a range of lighting design projects (working with a consultancy rather than manufacturer or supplier)
- Good communication skills (in both internal and external contexts)
- Competency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe CS and lighting calculation software with personal development training available
Salary £40k to £45k for an experienced designer.
