Our client specialises in Experiential Design, Production and Installation and are proud to count large brands and leading marketing agencies amongst their clients. Their range of services cover everything from exhibition stands, product launches and bespoke sampling stands to PR stunts, sampling bins and giant props. Based near the borders of Essex and Hertfordshire, within easy reach of London, they currently have a vacancy to work within their production team. As Assistant Workshop Manager your main responsibility will be to support in all aspects of production build, general workshop responsibilities and on-site work as required. This is a hands-on role with tasks which could include: prop making, CAD drawing, carpentry, metalworking, head rigger, spray painting, scenic finishes, paint management, general production build, CAD interpretation, CNC & Laser cutter operation, vinyling, installation crewing, lead carpenter, sanding, filling & finishing. The role includes development of practical skills including scenic, LX, sound and electronics and working in line with the Company sustainability policy, ensuring minimising wastage and organising off cuts of production material for use on subsequent jobs.
