Our client is a successful architectural and interior design practice working on commercial and residential projects across the UK. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Architectural Technologist, CAD Technician or Architect to join their independent, creative, growing practice and be heavily involved in all aspects of delivering outstanding projects, with long term career progression.
You will need to be able to demonstrate at least 5-7 years’ experience across all construction project phases, with extensive understanding of UK Building Regulations and excellent technical coordination skills. You will also be coordinating packages of information from different disciplines.
Key responsibilities for the Architectural Technician include:
- Prepare detailed technical packages on office fit out, commercial and residential schemes
- Ensure that all designs comply strictly with Building Control, British Standards and all relevant statutory codes
- Assist with all phases of the project including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents
- Liaise with and produce documentation for approval authorities
- Coordinate internally with teams, as well as externally with consultants and suppliers
Skills and experience needed from the Architectural Technician:
- Excellent understanding of the construction process
- Confident in working directly with clients and liaising with outside suppliers, contractors, project managers and engineers
- Enthusiastic and able to multitask as you will have a number of projects running concurrently
- Proficient in AutoCAD with Revit an added bonus
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong organisational and communication skills
