Join Our Team at Hills! We are looking for a Weighbridge Operative to join our team in Mortimer. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary and a fantastic benefits package.

What is the role all about? As our Weighbridge Operative, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the quarry, managing the weighbridge operation and accurately processing all vehicle movements in and out of site using a computerised weighing system.

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring customer requirements are met and all vehicle movements are processed accurately and efficiently through the weighbridge system.
  • Liaise closely with the Sales Office, communicating additional customer requirements, order amendments, and any discrepancies in scheduled deliveries.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, ensuring materials are supplied only to authorised customers.
  • Process cash sales transactions accurately and professionally in line with company procedures.
  • Complete daily weighbridge administration, including recording tonnages, reconciling documentation, and preparing information for the Sales Office.
  • Support the coordination of transport and logistics activities, assisting with vehicle scheduling and routing to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support efficient quarry operations and regulatory compliance.
