We are looking for a Rail Depot Manager to join our team in Royal Wootton Bassett. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary and a fantastic benefits package.

What is the role all about?

As our Rail Depot Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning, leading, organising and managing all on-site activities at the rail depot, ensuring the safe, efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the facility.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead all aspects of depot safety, compliance and operational performance, ensuring a safe, secure and legally compliant working environment for employees, contractors and visitors.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure the timely availability of trains, materials and products to support business and operational objectives.
  • Oversee the safe operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of all depot plant and equipment, driving reliability, efficiency and cost-effective asset management.
  • Maintain effective stock control and quality assurance processes, ensuring accurate inventory reporting, high product standards and full compliance with environmental regulations and company procedures.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • MPQC Level 2/3 - Geotechnical.
  • Personal Track Safety (PTS).
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 (SPMO).
  • Experience with creating/amending risk assessments.
