About The Role
Liverpool City Council is seeking a dynamic and organised Waste Support Officer to oversee the Customer Service/Administration functions of Council’s Domestic Waste services. This role is pivotal in driving our sustainability initiatives, focusing on the efficient recycling and contributing to the broader circular economy objectives. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhering to the domestic waste management policy in dealing with all waste management service requests and enquiries on a daily basis, whether from a resident or contractor.
- Meeting the service standards established for Councils domestic waste collection service are met.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on domestic waste and resource recovery matters in a timely manner, as they arise.
- The provision of high quality customer service in a prompt and accurate manner.
- Responding to all resident matters and / or requests, as directed by the Waste Management Coordinator. This includes correspondence in the form of email, telephone or letter.
- Gather historical data using councils’ systems to assist in resolving resident matters as they arise.
- Relevant tasks as directed by the Resource Recovery Coordinator.
