Description
The role and you
Working within the Community Spaces department this role is responsible for supervision of activities and work schedules for Gloucester and Stroud Workshops. Overseeing maintenance, servicing and repairs of Council and RFS plant/machinery. This position will support the Manager of Trade Services.
The preferred candidate will possess;
- Trade Qualifications in heavy vehicle/plant mechanics
- Motor Vehicle Inspectors Certificate
- Class MR Drivers License (minimum)
- Extensive experience in vehicle and large plant maintenance (including RFS plant and equipment)
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team successfully
- Relevant experience in purchasing and procurement
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work schedules

The package: Commencing salary package circa $69,108 – $82,940 p.a. plus superannuation
Tenure: Permanent Full-Time: 38 hours a week
Location: The successful applicant will be required to work at MidCoast Councils Gloucster Workshop located on Oak Street, Gloucester 2422. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites.
