Overview: Liverpool City Council seeks multiple Waste Services Operatives. Roles sit under the same Position Description but may be assigned to different operational areas, depots and collection services.
Responsibilities:
- Household kerbside waste and recycling collections
- Litter and public place waste removal
- Safe operation and maintenance of waste vehicles and equipment
- Supporting traffic management and on-road safety requirements
- Contribute to cleanliness, safety and presentation of the Liverpool Local Government Area
Qualifications:
- Valid HR Driver’s Licence
- General Construction WHS (White Card)
- Experience driving trucks in residential areas
- Experience in waste removal or similar operational environments
- Ability to perform manual handling and physical work
- Knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices
- Strong teamwork skills and a professional approach to public-facing work
