- 2x Permanent Part Time – 21 hours, 5 days/week over a 7‑day spread bandwidth
- Location: Liverpool, New South Wales
- Salary: $63,772.08 to $69,640.27 pro rata
Liverpool Council’s Library and Museum Services operate six libraries, including the award‑winning Yellamundie Library and Gallery. Our libraries are visited by thousands of people each day as a place to work, play and study. We are looking for two library assistants to deliver best practice library services across our network of libraries. The positions are based at Green Valley and Carnes Hill libraries but work may be rotated over time. Evening and weekend shifts are a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Providing direct customer support to people using library services.
- Using a wide range of technology and library equipment, including providing assistance with public access technology and online services.
- Delivering and supporting library programs including early literacy, tech help and holiday programs.
Qualifications:
- Higher School Certificate or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to interact confidently and communicate clearly with people.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team.
- Familiarity with public library services.
- Strong communication and literacy skills, both verbal and written.
- Digital literacy including skills in using business systems and mobile technology.
- Class C driver’s licence.
