Job Description
This apprenticeship is a full-time position within our Parks and Open space Services team. The successful candidate will work towards the completion of their Certificate III in Sports Turf Management. This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience developing practical skill in the maintenance and care for councils parks, open space gardens and sports facilities. This role is offered as an apprenticeship and is open to new starters and continuing apprentices in 1st or 2nd year of the same qualification.
About You
- The successful applicant will have:
- Completion of year 10.
- Willingness to enrol and complete apprenticeship in Certificate 3 Sports Turf Management
- Class C driver’s licence (or Provisional Licence).
- Willingness to obtain MR licence.
- A genuine interest in the outdoors, sports turf, horticulture, gardening and landscape maintenance.
- Knowledge of horticultural practices.
- Ability to set priorities and organise work.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to take direction and implement feedback on performance.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn.
