Overview (maternity cover), starting October 2026. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced generalist communicator with strong capability across B2B, consumer and corporate communications. You will act as senior counsel to clients, lead day-to-day strategy, and oversee high-performing account teams delivering integrated communications programmes. The role has a significant operational and commercial focus, including financial oversight, scope and contract management, and ensuring the right team structures are in place to deliver against client needs. You will also play an important role in developing talent, contributing to new business, and supporting the wider growth of the agency. This role supports a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior strategic lead and primary client contact, acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner.
- Provide senior counsel on integrated communications strategies, including messaging, planning, execution, creative development, and measurement.
- Take overall responsibility for client health and long-term success, anticipating challenges and identifying solutions proactively.
- Lead financial oversight across accounts, including budgets, utilisation, staffing models, and scopes of work; support contract negotiations where required.
- Regularly assess client needs and identify opportunities to grow accounts through additional agency capabilities.
- Define and review roles and responsibilities across account teams to ensure clarity, effectiveness, and development.
- Lead, mentor, and support junior and mid-level team members through ongoing coaching and training.
- Play a senior role in new business development, including pitches, proposals, and presentations.
- Actively contribute to practice, office, and agency-wide initiatives that support growth and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated senior-level experience in PR, communications, or integrated marketing, with a generalist background across B2B, consumer and corporate work.
- Strong understanding of the media and communications landscape, with the ability to guide teams on effective storytelling and channel strategy.
- Proven experience developing and leading integrated communications programmes.
- Confidence managing complex client relationships and balancing multiple stakeholder expectations.
- Experience with financial oversight, including budget management and resource planning.
- People leadership experience, including coaching and performance management.
- Strong judgement, communication skills, and collaborative working style.
