Responsibilities
The Role: ADL is currently looking to hire an experienced Manager (Project Manager) to support the development of capability and client base for the Strategy & Transactions Team within the UK. The individual will have a strong track record in successfully delivering projects in the areas of Strategy, CDD and Value Creation for clients based in the UK and internationally. As a manager, you will be hands‑on, work independently with a strong focus on project delivery whilst working closely with colleagues in the UK and international offices of ADL. An entrepreneurial mindset, intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest across industry sectors, background and experience in the Energy, Utilities & Resources sector is highly desirable.
What to Expect?
- Consultancy involves a high level of responsibility and pressure. There can be some stress as there will be tough targets and tight deadlines to meet.
- Work can be carried out at an international level, with many client organisations having offices overseas. This can provide opportunities for travel and work abroad and/or working across different time zones.
- Working with Corporates and the Private Equity, Infrastructure & Sovereign Wealth funds community on strategy, commercial due diligence and post-transaction (value creation) projects.
- Growth oriented organisation with entrepreneurial and driven Partner & Principal colleagues, focused on building a successful practice both in the UK and internationally.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and supporting the delivery of often challenging & complex, yet interesting projects.
- Working under pressure within a team environment, with a hands‑on approach and commitment to achieving solutions.
- Demonstrating intellectual curiosity to understand complex problems and rationalise these into workable solutions.
- Being a role model – independently developing and producing high quality output (as required and applicable) against project objectives and tight deadlines.
- Motivating, guiding and managing junior team members to drive efficiency and optimal, pragmatic solutions for clients.
- Providing rigorous analysis from relevant and accurate datasets to drive fact‑based decision making.
- Demonstrating strong presentation and facilitation skills with an ability to succinctly and creatively present robust and evidence-based messages.
- Contributing to impactful thought leadership for use in business development, engagement delivery, as well as marketing to build ADL’s profile.
Experience:
- 5+ years experience and management of similar projects, in a strategy / management consulting environment.
- At least 2.1 Honours Degree, from a Russell Group or similar university.
- STEM, Economics background desirable, but not necessary.
