What you will do…
Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in maintaining an efficient, accurate and effective accounting function. You will take end-to-end ownership of the purchase ledger, reporting to the Financial Controller, and ensure purchase invoices are accurately recorded in Sage, supplier statements are reconciled, and payment runs are prepared for approval by the Accountant or Financial Controller. You will help ensure suppliers are paid on time, provide remittances when requested, and act as the main point of contact for resolving purchase ledger queries.
You will also support the smooth day-to-day running of our office and facilities by managing stock levels of stationery, water and other office supplies, and arranging purchases that offer both quality and value for money. You will oversee supplier contracts, including renewals for services such as energy and waste management, ensuring service standards are maintained and costs remain competitive. In addition, you will reconcile maintenance costs against estimates held in the Oracle database, escalating any discrepancies to the maintenance team, and provide wider support to the finance team with monthly and ad hoc duties as required.
What do you need to be successful…
- Experience in a similar role is preferred
- Methodical and process driven, proactive and energetic
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numeracy & literacy skills
- Good IT skills, including an understanding of Microsoft packages
And in return …
As a Purchase Ledger Administrator at Global, you will receive a competitive salary and package. There is open communication with management, and many opportunities to showcase your ideas to our shareholders and owners in a business that truly values your impact.
