Careermakers Recruitment are currently recruiting for a qualified HGV Workshop Supervisor on behalf of our client based in Astley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established operation on a full-time, permanent basis.
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40-50 hours per week (to be confirmed at interview)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the workshop
- Supervise staff, including rotas, performance, and attendance
- Carry out hands-on repairs and maintenance as required
- Ensure all work is completed correctly and within deadlines
- Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary paperwork
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and good housekeeping
- Communicate effectively with the Transport Manager
- Ensure correct use of PPE at all times
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Workshop Supervisor
- Strong fault diagnosis and repair skills
- Experience with VOSA inspections and MOT preparation
- Ability to strip, fit, and replace components
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach
- Experience with Scania and Volvo vehicles preferred
- Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred (not essential)
