About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Minimise vehicle downtime through effective fault diagnosis and repairs.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as an HGV Mechanic is essential.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Time-served experience or a recognised qualification in HGV or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • Pay Rates
  • £14.00 per hour

Minimum 1 year's HGV mechanic experience.

£15.50 per hour

2 to 4 years' HGV mechanic experience.

£17.50 per hour

5+ years' experience with advanced diagnostics and fault-finding skills.
