Trainee Estates Grounds Person

  • Permanent full time contract
  • 45 hrs per week Mon-Fri between 0730 hrs - 1700 hrs
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Paid overtime available
  • Trainee Grounds Person: £23,000 - £29,000
  • Experienced Grounds Person with fine turf skills: £31,700 - £34,500 pa (free parking, lunch, gym, pool, and generous pension after 3 months)

An exciting opportunity exists to join a multi-skilled Estates Grounds team in using your proven skills across a beautiful estate in Lavington Park near Petworth, West Sussex. The role delivers first class fine and sports turf facilities, horticultural maintenance and upkeep of the estate's trees and woodlands management programme.

Key areas include:

  • Maintain and prepare high-quality cricket wickets across 4 tables, plus artificial net and match facilities (experience/knowledge of fine turf management is essential)
  • Assist the team with the preparation, maintenance and development of the golf course, rugby pitches and all other fine turf sports facilities.
