Founded in 1929, our client is a vibrant and thriving coeducational independent day school for children aged 6 months to 18 years. With a strong sense of community, our pupils, teaching staff, operational teams and nursery staff together create a warm and purposeful environment where every individual is known and valued.

Open across 50 weeks a year between 7.30am - 6.30pm, their Nursery offers boys and girls aged 6 months to 4 years a kind, caring and welcoming environment in which they can learn and grow. Founded in 2014, the Nursery is very much part of the school community and has been designed to provide a vibrant, stimulating, yet safe, environment for the youngest members of the school. Located in the heart of the school, the children frequently use the wider facilities of the school, including the Sports Hall, Junior Music Studio and Theatre.

The children enjoy access to the school’s beautiful grounds for bug hunts, sound walks, tree climbing, den building, acting out stories, bear hunts, visiting the school’s chickens and collecting natural resources to bring back and use in the nursery and pre-school.

Due to the exciting expansion of their Outstanding-rated Nursery and continued high demand for places, they’re growing their team to welcome more families into our nurturing early years community.

You’ll need:

  • Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years Education
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience working with children under five
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a friendly team. You’ll play a vital role in delivering outstanding care and education for nursery children. You’ll work closely with your room team to create a stimulating environment that supports each child’s learning journey, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and their child-led ‘in the moment’ planning approach.

The Nursery is located in a spacious building in the heart of the school, with specific rooms for Babies, Toddlers and Pre-school children, as well as large dedicated outdoor spaces for each of these groups.
