To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Engineering Director - EMEA located in one of our locations in the EMEA region (UK, Poland or Ireland). Reporting to the Senior Director – Global Engineering, the Engineering Director - EMEA role involves providing strategic, technical, and operational leadership across regional engineering teams. The role focuses on developing and executing the EMEA Engineering strategy, ensuring strong delivery performance, and driving alignment with global engineering objectives while supporting the design and delivery of engineered-to-order electrical and mechanical solutions for mission‑critical environments.
What a typical day looks like:
- Developing and executing the EMEA Engineering strategy aligned with global objectives and business growth plans
- Leading multiple Design & Engineering teams across the region through Heads of Engineering
- Overseeing the delivery of complex ETO solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Driving KPI‑based performance management, reporting progress, risks, and improvements to global leadership
- Establishing and embedding daily management systems to ensure execution discipline and accountability
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean engineering principles
- Collaborating closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure manufacturable and compliant solutions
- Leading design reviews, programme governance, and technical decision‑making across the region
- Building engineering capability through coaching, leadership development, and workforce planning
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Strong expertise in BIM, electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally within the critical power or similar industry
- Proven experience in leading multi‑site, multidisciplinary engineering organisations
- Solid understanding of engineered‑to‑order (ETO) environments and manufacturing‑led design
- Experience in implementing KPI‑driven performance management and governance models
- Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies applied within engineering
- Ability to manage complex technical challenges and make data‑driven decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership
- Demonstrated leadership capability in coaching and developing senior engineering teams
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's or MBA is a plus
- Typically 8+ years of leadership experience in engineering environments
