Wellbeing Advisor, Maternity Cover, 12 months Fixed Term Contract – Haywards Heath RH16 1SS The Role To support on the delivery of the Mid Sussex Wellbeing Hub which is part of a county-wide programme in West Sussex to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent ill-health in our local communities. The hub provides information, advice and signposts local people to services for help and support on lifestyle issues. The Wellbeing Advisor post will work as part of the Communities Directorate supporting the delivery of the Wellbeing Hub and its associated projects. Based at Mid Sussex District Council, the postholder will be responsible for the delivery of the Mid Sussex Wellbeing Weight Management service and support the delivery of other Wellbeing programmes such as smoking cessation, alcohol reduction and workplace health. The service is currently looking to employ a Wellbeing Advisor on a temporary contract to cover Maternity Leave for up to 12 months. The post holder will report directly to the Wellbeing Team Leader. They will be pivotal in the development and delivery of the weight management service, recruiting new referrals on to the service through advertising campaigns, providing interventions to adults (18+) within community venues for face-to-face group support, or one-to-one support face-to-face, over the phone or via virtual platforms. They will also, be responsible for reporting on the service key quarterly performance indicators. In addition, they will also deliver support around leading a healthy lifestyle to prevent future ill health, illness and disease brought on through an unhealthy lifestyle.
