We are the drivers of change. #LI-Hybrid This is the jobAt AA, we’re looking for a Value Stream Engineering Lead to join our incredible Digital Engineering team. You’ll be responsible for leading and optimising the end-to-end delivery of value within a specific value stream. This role involves ensuring that development teams are aligned with business objectives, improving processes, and driving continuous delivery of high-quality products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile methodologies, engineering management, and a deep understanding of the value stream concept. What will I be doing?Lead and manage engineering teams to ensure alignment with business goals and smooth flow of value from idea to customer delivery. Continuously assess and improve value stream processes, implementing best practices in agile methodologies, DevOps, and continuous delivery. Drive automation and tooling improvements to support efficient and reliable software delivery. Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure value stream effectiveness, and present regular reports to senior management. Ensure engineering practices adhere to high standards of quality and reliability, enforcing best practices in testing, code review, and quality assurance. What do I need?Extensive experience in software engineering, including design, development, testing, and deployment, with a deep knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and value stream mapping. Strong demonstrable experience with managing complex digital platform projects from inception to delivery within variety of scope and scale. Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and a strong understanding of security principles and best practices for digital platforms. Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, with strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders. Highly numerate, analytical, and innovative, with the ability to identify, nurture, and scale new opportunities while being persuasive and resilient under pressure. Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to prioritise, manage, and deliver under tight or conflicting deadlines.
