My client is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with strong expertise across both Structural & Temporary Works Engineering. They have built up their presence within these fields and are well-known for their expertise and innovative approach to projects, including high-profile developments such as nuclear power stations, major train stations, and iconic London buildings.
Due to this, they are looking to bring on a new Senior Temporary Works Engineer who can lend their engineering ability to spearhead these projects and see them through to completion. This will be an excellent opportunity for Senior Temporary Works Engineers with at least 5 years of experience, who are looking to take on more project responsibilities and benefit from the great career path that comes with this organization.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage the technical and commercial aspects of a range of projects, ensuring client expectations are met, and projects are delivered within agreed parameters.
- Undertake TW designs across a range of challenging yet prestigious projects.
- Use your design experience and leadership skills to ensure high standards of quality are maintained across the project cycle.
- Build your own network of clientele and contribute to the growth of the business.
- Tackle diverse engineering challenges, developing your own expertise & specialisms in the process.
- Apply thorough conceptual understanding and design visualization to meet clients' needs.
- Resource management across the project team and mentorship to junior engineers.
What you’ll need for this role:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 6 years of experience in temporary works design.
- Either chartered or actively working towards chartership with ICE or IStructE.
- Proven ability across leadership, mentoring junior engineers, managing client relationships, and leading TW projects in the UK.
