Global leader in the mining and energy sector is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel with a background in Projects, Energy and/or Infrastructure to join their team on a maternity cover contract commencing in June/July. Central London office, hybrid working (4/1 split). Initial contract period 8 months with potential to extend.
Reporting to the Head of Legal you will be responsible for:
- Commercial contract drafting, review and negotiation supporting on global mining and infrastructure projects, including construction, services and procurement agreements
- Identifying and mitigating legal risks
- Advising on tax and insurance provisions
- Working closely with operational and project stakeholders
- Instructing external counsel
- Collaborating effectively within a fast-paced, global legal team
To be considered for this role, you will be 5+ years PQE preferably trained in the energy and projects team of a highly regarded firm coupled with similar experience gained in-house. Strong contract drafting and stakeholder management skills are key to your continued success in this role.
