Are you a seasoned Development Manager looking to take the lead on large-scale residential projects? We’re seeking an experienced and driven Senior Development Manager to oversee two exciting new housing developments based in East & North London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded housebuilder delivering quality communities across the region.

The Role:

Reporting into the Head of Development, you will take full ownership of the development lifecycle – from acquisition support, through planning, design, and delivery – ensuring each scheme is delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. With two flagship sites under your remit, you'll play a key strategic and operational role, liaising with internal teams, external consultants, and local authorities to bring ambitious visions to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the development process from planning to completion
  • Work closely with land, technical, commercial, and construction teams
  • Oversee planning submissions and support Section 106/CIL negotiations
  • Manage design development and ensure compliance with relevant policy and regulations
  • Lead project appraisals and ensure financial viability throughout
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and statutory bodies

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in residential development, ideally with a housebuilder, developer or H/A
  • Strong knowledge of the planning process and UK housing market
  • Exceptional project management and leadership skills
  • Commercially astute with experience in managing budgets and appraisals
  • Confident communicator and effective stakeholder manager
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (RICS, RTPI, etc.) desirable
