The Role
To support the Engineering Manager and work alongside the Weekend Night Shift Engineering Supervisor to run the sites maintenance function during the weekend in line with the agreed engineering strategy.
Act as the first line of support for the Engineering Team with technical issues, providing technical leadership and supporting skills development/knowledge within team.
To manage works order workflow, set priorities, maintain the PM system, and develop/ improve predictive/preventative/and quality controls.
- Responsibilites
- Safety auditing and role modelling safety behaviours amongst team.
- Support the development of the implementation of delegated aspects of the engineering strategy, including projects where appropriate.
- Support the weekend running of the Engineering Department including ensuring compliance with operations standards and the delivery of reliability targets.
- Undertake delegated aspects of people management including supporting the Engineering Manager with appraisals, training, and development plans, managing performance and employee communications.
- Ensure management of contractors whilst on site in line with site health and safety processes.
- Work in collaboration with the weekend engineering team to agree prioritization of works.
- Issue of work orders for – PM/CM/PPM
- Update Standard Operations procedures as necessary.
- Undertake other duties within capabilities as directed by Engineering Manager.
- This is a Hands-On role. Expect work mix of 60/40 practical to supervisory activities.
- Your job title does not limit your duties, and the Company may require you from time to time to undertake any other duties within your capability.
