We’re working with a specialist consultancy known for delivering architecture-led change across the financial services sector. As part of their continued growth, they’re hiring a Lead Architect – a key leadership position working closely with the Head of Architecture to shape and grow client engagements, lead delivery teams, and evolve the practice. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior consultant or architect ready to step into a second-in-command role, with real influence across proposition development, team leadership, and client outcomes.
About Our Client

What You’ll Be Doing as a Lead Architect:
- As Lead Architect, you’ll play a central role across both client delivery and internal leadership, operating at pace within a highly capable, commercially minded team. Partnering closely with the Head of Architecture, supporting strategy, proposition development, and delivery oversight.
- Leading engagements across Enterprise, Solution, and Data Architecture, from shaping to execution.
- Managing teams of architects and consultants, embedding delivery excellence and architectural best practice.
- Contributing to the evolution of the firm’s architecture services – frameworks, accelerators, and ways of working.
- Building deep relationships with senior stakeholders across Tier 1 financial services clients.
- Supporting business development through insight, relationships, and delivery credibility.
What We’re Looking For From The Lead Architect:
- We’re looking for an experienced architect with the credibility, confidence, and drive to step into a leadership role within a growing consultancy. A strong track record of delivering architecture engagements within financial services.

- Depth in one or more areas: Enterprise, Solution, or Data Architecture.
- A commercial mindset – someone who understands the value of architecture in a consulting context.
- Proven ability to lead teams, shape solutions, and deliver client outcomes.
- Experience mentoring or developing others, formally or informally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Relevant industry certifications (TOGAF, AWS, Azure, SAFe, etc.) are a plus.
Why Join?
- Operate as a trusted second-in-command to the Head of Architecture.
- Join a consultancy that genuinely leads with architecture, not just delivers it.
- Influence proposition development and practice growth.
- Work with high-profile FS clients on challenging, business-critical change.
- Be part of a collaborative, high-calibre team that values outcomes over process.
