We are working with a leading law firm to hire a Compliance Team Leader for their Risk and Compliance function in Manchester. In this role, you’ll take the lead in managing a team focused on business acceptance and ongoing monitoring, while also playing a key part in firm-wide compliance initiatives and projects.
The firm is looking for someone with at least four years’ experience in legal conflicts of interest and AML within a law firm environment, ideally with some supervisory or mentoring experience.
The responsibilities will include:
- Supervising compliance analysts on conflict checks, CDD, risk assessments and related functions
- Advising on AML, KYC and risk-related queries and procedures
- Interpreting regulations and internal policies to support risk-based decisions
- Managing performance, development, and supervision of team members
- Escalating complex or reputational issues with suggested solutions
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the firm to ensure firmwide compliance
- Supporting wider projects including policy updates, training, and internal communications
- Promoting a culture of strong compliance across the business
