A well-established and growing international freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Air Freight Coordinator to join their team in Colnbrook. Covering both import and export air freight operations, this role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced, professional environment with a company known for its strong global partnerships and commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end coordination of air freight shipments for both imports and exports
- Prepare and process all relevant documentation including AWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs entries
- Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, overseas agents, and customers to ensure the smooth and timely movement of cargo
- Track and monitor shipments, resolving any delays or issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, aviation security protocols, and company policies
- Work closely with internal departments including transport and warehousing to maintain efficient operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in air freight forwarding, covering both import and export operations
- Strong understanding of customs procedures, documentation requirements, and airline handling processes
- Familiarity with systems such as Cargowise, CNS, and CDS
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to prioritise in a deadline-driven environment
