At Career Teachers, we are currently working with mainstream primary schools in Derby who require Teaching Assistants to work on long term, full time from September 2025. We are looking for resilient Level 2, Level 3 or higher qualified Teaching Assistants with strong behaviour management skills to join our successful team.
Your Requirements:
- Experience working with children and young people
- A recognised teaching assistant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare
- Confident in managing challenging behaviours, defusing situations, and creating a calm and positive environment for students to progress in
- A calm, patient manner with a positive can-do attitude
Your Role:
- You will be working with the class teacher and other members of support staff to ensure that the pupil receives the care required to cater for their unique needs
- You must be able to build trusting and meaningful relationships and ensure that they are engaged in learning and activities
This is a full-time role starting this September. We are looking for a committed and passionate teaching assistant who is looking to join a successful team of practitioners and really make a difference.
