The Role
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, including covering whole classes during teacher absence or PPA time.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning activities across a range of year groups
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons under the direction of teaching staff
- Lead whole-class sessions and manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Support pupils' academic progress and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCo, and support staff
- Provide targeted support for individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional needs
- Contribute to assessment and pupil progress tracking
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
- Proven experience working in a primary school setting
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire pupils
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
