We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join our team in Sheffield S2.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality early years education, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children's learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Monitor, assess, and record children's progress, identifying individual learning needs and next steps.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes children's wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
- Develop strong relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
- Support children's personal, social, emotional, and educational development.
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and assessments as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working as an Early Years Teacher.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience working within a nursery or school‑based early years setting.
- Additional training in SEND, safeguarding, or early childhood development.
