Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location: Waltham Forest, London

Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm)

Pay: Weekly - 425-525 per week

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our students with Autism and ADHD. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with special needs and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with Autism and ADHD, helping them to engage and succeed in their learning.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students in developing social skills and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to each student's development.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children with Autism and ADHD is a MUST.
  • A relevant qualification in education or special needs support is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
