Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new role? We are currently recruiting dedicated, compassionate and proactive SEN TAs to support pupils across Havering, Romford and nearby areas.
About the Role
You will be working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, which may include autism, ADHD, complex learning needs, physical disabilities, and social/emotional needs. Roles are available across primary, secondary and specialist provisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing tailored 1:1 or small group support
- Assisting pupils with learning activities and classroom engagement
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Experience working with SEN pupils is essential
- Comfortable supporting pupils of all ages (EYFS-Post 16)
- Willingness to assist with personal care
- Strong communication, patience and resilience
- Ability to build positive relationships quickly
- DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
