Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded special school in South London. The school supports pupils aged 7-18 with a wide range of abilities and additional needs, including complex learning difficulties. Every pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school maintains an excellent reputation with a high level of referrals. This is a highly sought-after environment known for its warm, family-like ethos. Staff work collaboratively and support one another, and all team members - including agency staff - are encouraged to take part in weekly training sessions to support ongoing professional growth.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:00

We’re Looking For
- Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants.
- Individuals with proven experience supporting children with SEN or SEMH needs.
- Confident practitioners with strong behaviour management skills and the ability to deliver tailored learning support.
Your Responsibilities
- Offer one-to-one and small group support tailored to pupils' needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering personalised lessons and targeted interventions.
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive outcomes for every child.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to support each pupil's development.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (in school or similar settings).
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us).
- Two employment references covering the past 24 months.
