Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Leicester – Full or Part-time – ASAP
We are currently looking for Supply Teaching Assistants to join our busy team to carry out daily and short-term assignments across Leicester city and the surrounding areas.
This role is supporting primary aged pupils from 4-11 in a mainstream capacity or on a 1:1/small group basis.
Due to vast local staffing requests, we are able to accommodate part-time and full-time workers who have age specific experience and preference.
Your role as a supply teaching assistant will involve providing an outstanding service to local schools by supporting children to the best of your ability. You will be responsible for assisting pupils with specific work set out by the class teacher and ensuring that the children in whom you are supporting are engaged and focused. Assisting the teacher with daily tasks, classroom management and preparing for lessons, break times and assisting over lunch if required.
To be successful for a role as a supply teaching assistant you will:
Be eligible to work in the UK
Have a childcare qualification Level 2 or 3 or an education related degree
Have at least 6 weeks experience providing support within a school or similar setting
Be hard-working, caring and have good communication skills
Be willing and able to provide at least two professional references (including most recent employment)
Have an enhanced (child workforce) DBS on the update service or be willing to complete a new application
