We are seeking talented Cover Teachers (Unqualified Teachers) to work in our fantastic schools & colleges. The position offers an excellent opportunity for Cover Teachers to gain further school‑based experience before moving onto teacher training in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Effective management of classes in the teacher’s absence, ensuring pupils are kept on task and supported throughout the lesson, and undertaking additional duties when requested.
- You may cover lessons in the morning and coach PE in the afternoon.
- The role is varied and keeps you on your toes.
- Support and training will be provided by the current Heads of Department and other experienced teachers.
- You are expected to establish a positive working environment and provide the correct resources to enable pupils to complete their work.
Qualifications:
- Unqualified teachers or those pursuing QTS, a degree, or a qualification within FE – including a PhD.
- Graduates in Science, Maths, English or PE seeking experience before or alongside PGCE or GTP programmes.
- Desirable: FE qualification.
- Fully enhanced UK DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one).
- Ambitious, enthusiastic, reliable and forward‑thinking candidates.
- All degrees are welcome.
