About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse to join a reputable early years setting in the Rotherham S60 area. This is a full-time, permanent position working 45 hours a week, supporting children across the nursery and delivering high quality care and education within the EYFS curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, nurturing, and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments, and development records for each child.
- Promote children's independence, confidence, and holistic development.
- Ensure all safeguarding, welfare, and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
- Contribute to a supportive team environment and attend staff meetings/training as required.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., Early Years Educator, Childcare & Education).
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to update/register).
- Safeguarding training completed and up to date.
- Ability to work 45 hours per week on a full time basis.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a nursery or early years setting.
- First Aid qualification (Paediatric).
- Knowledge of SEN support within early years.
