About the Role

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of primary and secondary schools throughout Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils in a range of educational settings while making a positive impact on their learning, development, and wellbeing.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to provide high-quality support to pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Whether working on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, or within the classroom environment, you will play a key role in helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils individually and in small groups to enhance their learning and engagement.
  • Assist teachers in delivering effective and inclusive lessons.
  • Provide targeted interventions to support academic progress.
  • Support children and young people with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil independence and confidence.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where required.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Adapt support strategies to meet the individual needs of learners across different school settings.

About You

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Have previous experience working with children or young people in a school, educational, childcare, or support setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be patient, compassionate, and committed to supporting pupil development.
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working across different schools.
  • Be confident supporting a variety of learning needs and abilities.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider school team.
  • Be passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.
