School Business Manager – Wybourn Community Primary & Nursery School, S2 Sheffield South East Trust

Salary: £38,220 - £41,771

Contract: Temporary to Permanent | Full Time

About the Role

This is a key leadership role within the school, responsible for the strategic and operational management of all support services. You will play a vital role in ensuring the school runs efficiently, enabling staff to focus on delivering excellent outcomes for pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple support service teams, ensuring high performance and clear direction
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, monitoring expenditure and reporting
  • Ensure administrative systems are efficient, compliant and effective
  • Manage HR processes, including safer recruitment and compliance with legislation
  • Oversee site management, facilities and external contracts to ensure safety and value for money
  • Act as Health & Safety lead, maintaining robust policies, procedures and risk assessments
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support strategic planning and school improvement
  • Support ICT and MIS functions to ensure systems effectively support teaching and learning

About You

  • Proactive, organised and solutions-focused individual
  • Experience managing multiple teams and functions (ideally within education)
  • Strong financial management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance
  • Can work independently, manage priorities and make sound decisions
