Career Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing and highly motivated Early Years Teacher to join a warm, inclusive primary setting for a one‑year maternity cover starting in March 2026. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the early development of children within a school community that prioritises inclusion, high expectations and a love of learning.
You will become part of a dedicated team that is committed to giving every child the best possible start in their education. Children come from a wide range of backgrounds and have diverse needs, and the staff work hard to engage, inspire and support every learner through a rich, stimulating and child‑centred curriculum.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Create a warm, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual development
- Build positive relationships with children and their families
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging EYFS activities
- Use assessment effectively to track progress and inform teaching
- Maintain accurate records to support children’s development and next steps
- Promote independence, curiosity and a love of learning
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Strong understanding of child development and EYFS curriculum expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
