Are you interested in a rewarding role where no two days are the same? Are you keen to support pupils with a range of SEN? We are looking for learning support assistants who would be keen to work with SEN or SEMH pupils. Working days are Monday to Thursday term time only.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and implementation of pupils’ individual learning and behaviour plans and programmes.
  • Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a positive role model and being aware of and responding to pupils’ individual needs.
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
  • Set challenging and demanding expectations to promote self-esteem and encourage pupils to become independent learners.
  • Assist with providing feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement.
  • To physically support students as they walk, push students in wheelchairs and operate manual handling.
  • To support students with personal/intimate care.
  • To support students in a swimming/hydrotherapy pool.

  • Good attendance and punctuality
  • Have an in-date Team Teach certificate or be prepared to attend training.
  • Have a child and Adult DBS or be prepared to get one.
