About the Role
Career Teachers are recruiting Unqualified Teachers to work across secondary schools in Sheffield. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced Cover Supervisors ready to step into full-class responsibility. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, maintain behaviour standards, and ensure learning continues when teachers are absent. You do not need QTS for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
- Supervise classes in KS3 and KS4
- Manage behaviour using school policies and routines
- Support students with clear explanations and simple guidance
- Take registers and complete basic class reporting
- Provide feedback to department staff after lessons
- Maintain a positive, productive classroom environment
Requirements
- Experience working with young people in any setting (schools, tutoring, youth work, coaching, mentoring, support roles)
- Confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
- Two references covering the last two years
