About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse to join a reputable early years setting in Sheffield S2.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, nurturing, and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Maintain accurate observations, assessments, and development records for each child.
  • Promote children’s independence, confidence, and holistic development.
  • Ensure all safeguarding, welfare, and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to a supportive team environment and attend staff meetings/training as required.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., Early Years Educator, Childcare & Education).
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to update/register).
  • Safeguarding training completed and up to date.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in a nursery or early years setting.
  • First Aid qualification (Paediatric).
  • Knowledge of SEN support within early years.
