Career Teachers is seeking a creative and motivated Art Teacher to work in a supportive secondary school in the Sheffield (S35, S5, S36) area. This role suits a teacher who can inspire students, deliver engaging lessons, and promote creativity across a range of artistic mediums. The school values strong subject knowledge, high-quality teaching, and a positive approach to learning.

Key Responsibilities of the Art Teacher
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages
  • Support students in developing technical skills and creative confidence
  • Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and visually engaging classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the Art curriculum and contribute to wider creative projects
Requirements for the Art Teacher Role
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Art at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Confident behaviour management and strong organisational skills
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

Applicants must demonstrate strong safeguarding knowledge and meet all safer recruitment requirements. This includes providing a valid Enhanced DBS certificate or completing a new check before starting.
