We are seeking a highly motivated and inspiring SENCO to lead and develop SEND provision across a forward‑thinking 11-16 secondary setting with a shared‑site sixth form. This inclusive and ambitious secondary school (11-16) is committed to excellence for all students, with approximately 200 Post‑16 learners on its shared-site sixth form. About the SEND & ARP Provision
The school hosts a specialist ARP for students with Autism Spectrum Conditions and/or social communication needs, offering:
- A nurturing environment for students whose needs cannot be met solely in mainstream
- Focus on independence, communication and preparation for adulthood
- Access to Level 2 courses in KS4 and progression routes into Level 3 at KS5
- Specialist provision for up to six students per year group (Year 7-11)
As SENCO, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless collaboration between the ARP, mainstream staff and external professionals.
The Role
As SENCO, you will:
- Lead, manage and develop the SEND provision across the school
- Ensure students with SEND receive the highest standard of teaching and support
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies
- Oversee high‑quality interventions and personalised learning pathways
- Train and support staff in effective SEND practice
- Ensure rapid progress for learners in line with trust and statutory expectations
- Promote an inclusive culture where every student is known, valued and supported
