We are recruiting experienced Learning Support Assistants to join a dedicated and welcoming Special Educational Needs school in Tower Hamlets, starting September 2026. The school caters for pupils aged 4-19 years old with Autism, providing a structured, supportive and nurturing environment that enables every pupil to achieve their full potential.
The Role
- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:00
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting with learning activities, communication support and behaviour regulation
- Helping pupils develop social, emotional and life skills
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and senior staff to follow personalised support plans
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with Autism – this is a MUST
- A patient, proactive and compassionate approach
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
