We are recruiting experienced Learning Support Assistants to join a dedicated and welcoming Special Educational Needs school in Tower Hamlets, starting September 2026. The school caters for pupils aged 4-19 years old with Autism, providing a structured, supportive and nurturing environment that enables every pupil to achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Full-time position
  • Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:00
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Assisting with learning activities, communication support and behaviour regulation
  • Helping pupils develop social, emotional and life skills
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and senior staff to follow personalised support plans

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with Autism – this is a MUST
  • A patient, proactive and compassionate approach
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
